My degree plan is in organizational
leadership, for the majority of my military career I have been in leadership
positions. I believe this degree will lead me into more managerial positions,
so I decided to research the managing vs leadership. I learned that this is a
very opinionated topic, with what appears to boil down to personal preference,
confidence, and training in stylistic choice.
Searching this subject was slightly
frustrating due to the comparison aspect with both words as a key word for the
search engine. The search engine keyed in on one word, or both words, returning
articles that only talked about the words individually, leaving me to do my own
comparing and contrasting. Researching this topic further I will use additional
words for the type of managing I would prefer to do. Maybe add business, or
office, however as it stands now the words managing vs leadership returns a
large variety of articles, opinions, and learning styles to research.
